SYLVIA JEAN BLANKENSHIP STILTNER, 69 years of age of Tazewell, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Vadie Stacy Blankenship. She was a resident of Buchanan County many years prior to moving to Tazewell, VA, and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker and restaurant cook.

Mrs. Stiltner is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Stiltner, Tazewell, VA, 1-Daughter: Melissa Farmer, Tazewell, VA, 3-Sons: Scott and wife Terri Stiltner, Tazewell, VA, Michael and wife Jessica Stiltner, Tazewell, VA, Kevin and wife Tanya Stiltner, Fraser, MI, 1-Step-Son: Joe and wife Barbara Stiltner, Bland, VA, 2-Sisters: Bonnie and husband Robert McClanahan, Tazewell, VA, Vergie Christian, Kingsport, TN, 1-Brother: Bennie and wife Glenda Blankenship, Warren, MI

Also, survived by 11-Grandchildren and 4-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2-Sisters and 5-Brothers.

Funeral Services for SYLVIA JEAN BLANKENSHIP STILTNER will be conducted Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Chris Blankenship and Charles Blankenship officiating.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday Morning at 11:00 A.M. to await the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M.
