STEVEN MOUNTS, 52 years of age of Richlands, VA, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his home following a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Thelma Mullins Mounts, Gray, TN, and the late Barnest Lee Varney Mounts. He was a resident of Buchanan County many years and was a Christian of the Baptist Faith. He was a loving husband, father and was a disabled Coal Miner.

Mr. Mounts is survived by his wife of 34-years, Gay Nell Mullins Mounts, Richlands, VA, and his mother, Thelma Mullins Mounts, Gray, TN., 1-Daughter: Mary Ruth and husband Shawn Bruce, Berea, KY, 2-Sons: Taylor Mounts of the Home, Matthew Mounts of the Home, 2-Sisters: Rhonda and husband Gary Thacker, Kimper, KY, Michelle and husband Gerald Litton, Big Stone Gap, VA, 2-Brothers: Lee Mounts, Richlands, VA, Michael and wife Kristine Mounts, Hurley, VA

Also, survived by 1-Grandson: Adrian Bruce, 3-Nieces, 7-Nephews, and Special Friends: Oscar and Betty Stiltner of Honaker, VA.

Funeral Services for STEVEN MOUNTS will be conducted Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Lowe officiating with burial to follow in the Ambrose Mullins Cemetery on State Line Ridge, Paynesville, WV.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. with Jordan Griffith officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Lee Mounts, Michael Mounts, Shawn Bruce, Oscar Stiltner, Donnie Blankenship, Trey Adkins and Chris Mounts.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Phillip Mounts, Lee Mounts, Michael Carver, Bradley Mounts and Brandon Adkins.
