ROSIE LESTER LOVELL,
89 years of age of Pickerington, Ohio formerly of Grundy and Cedar Bluff, VA
passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Winchester Place Health Care
Center, Pickerington, Ohio, following an extended illness.
Born in Pike County, KY
she
was the daughter of the late Roland and Florence Lester.
Mrs. Lovell was a homemaker and a former
employee of the Morgan Theater and the Lynnwood Theater. She was a former
member of the Little Prater Church of Christ and was very active at a church
in Cedar Bluff.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother,
grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Lovell was preceded in death by her husband,
Arthur Chester Lovell who died exactly 19-years ago,
on November 21, 1993.
She is survived by 1-Daughter: Hettie F. (Husband
Jerry) Cooper/Oswald, Pickerington, Ohio, 1- Son: Tom (wife Kathy) Lovell,
Moneta, Virginia, 2-Brothers: Paul (wife Ethel) Lester, Muncie, IN, Roland
(Deedee) Lester Jr., Grundy, VA, 4-Sisters:
Bessie (husband Clarence) Looney, Breaks, VA, Lola (her late husband,
Malcolm) Harrell, Muncie, IN, Pauline (husband Douglas) Honaker, Roanoke,
VA, Roberta (husband Jimmy) Goff, Harman, VA
Also, survived by 5-Grandchildren: Tim (wife Daphney) Cooper of
Pickerington, OH, Chad Lovell, Tammie (husband Wayne) Strickland, Jessie
Lovell Toms and Molly Lovell all of Roanoke, VA; 4- great-grandchildren:
Shannon Lovell, Heather and her twin Ryan Cooper, & Jaxen Toms.
She
was also preceded in death by Hettie’s first husband and the father of her
son Tom: James C. Cooper Jr.; 2- Sisters Lillie (late husband Charlie)
Stiltner & Nancy Lester; and 3 - Brothers: Jack (late wife Estelle) Lester,
Isaac Lester and Dewey Lester.
Funeral Services for
ROSIE
LESTER LOVELL will
be conducted Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 1:00 P.M.. at the Grundy Funeral
Home Chapel with Evg. William L. Neeley officiating with burial to follow in
the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Virginia.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening after 6
P.M. with services at 7 P.M.
Active pallbearers will be men of New Hope Christian Church.
