ROBERT DAVID ROSE, 42 years of age of the Poplar Creek Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Bryan, OH, he was the son of Sara “Tootie” Sheets and James Stump, Poplar Creek, Grundy, VA. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and was a member of Bethlehem Old Regular Baptist Church #1. Robert earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Management and was working on his PHD in Business Management. He was a loving son and friend and was a former supervisor at Ticket Master, Charleston, WV, and former substitute teacher.

Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Vincent Rose; Maternal Grandparents: Mrs. Leon Sheets Spahr and Mr. Golder Sheets; and Maternal Great-Grandparents: Chloe & D.C. Stiltner.

He is survived by Paternal Grandparents: Hattie and E.V. Rose, Bassett, VA, 1-Sister: Monica and husband Clive Diaz, Pasadena, MD, 2-Brothers: Darrell and wife Jennifer Rose, Midlothian, VA, Ronald and wife Pam Rose, Manassas, VA

Also, survived by several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, a host of cousins who considered him an uncle and many friends.

Funeral Services for ROBERT DAVID ROSE will be conducted Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bethlehem Old Regular Baptist Church #1 on Poplar Creek with Elders: Jim Blankenship, James McClanahan, C. Paul McClanahan, Frank Newsome, Eddie Newsome and David O’Quinn officiating with burial to follow in the Stiltner-Rice Cemetery on Poplar Creek, Grundy, VA.

Friends may call at the Bethlehem Old Regular Baptist Church #1 Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of Bethlehem Old Regular Baptist Church #1 and Friends.
