RETHA SPARKS JUSTUS, 66 years of age of the Davis Fork Section of Hurley, VA, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at her home following a brief illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Hettie Sparks of Wolford, VA. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and a member of the North Springs Old Regular Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for the Hurley Community Center and the Buchanan County School System for several years. She was also an avid quilter. She made and donated quilts for benefit shows and different youth organizations throughout the United States. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Justus; 2-Sons: Larry Randell Sparks and Jeffery Dwight Justus; 1-Son-in-Law: Alvie Stacy; 1-Great-Grandchild: William (A.J.) Blankenship; 2-Sisters: Opal Baker and Audrey Sparks; 7-Brothers: A.C. Sparks, Kermit Sparks, Junior Sparks, Johnny Sparks, Verner Sparks, Kelly Sparks and Clifford Sparks.

She is survived by 4-Daughters: Dreama Lynn Stacy, Hurley, VA, Mary (Ronnie) Clabough, Hurley, VA, Samantha (Derick) Stacy, Hurley, VA, Patricia (Chris) Waters, Big Rock, VA, 3-Sons: Jessie (Rita) Justus, Hurley, VA, Jimmy Justus (Fiancée Billie Harris), Hurley, VA, Billy (April) Justus, Wolford, VA, 2-Sisters: Lonie Stacy, Wolford, VA, Harriett (John) Justus, Hurley, VA, 4-Brothers: Hobart Sparks, Wolford, VA, Eli (Pinkie) Sparks, Wolford, VA, Ed (Peggy) Sparks, Whitewood, VA, Henry (Ann) Sparks, Michigan

Also, survived by 21-Grandchildren and 12-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for RETHA SPARKS JUSTUS will be conducted Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the North Springs Old Regular Baptist Church at Wolford, VA, with North Springs Old Regular Baptist Preachers officiating with burial to follow in the Justus Cemetery on Davis Fork, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the North Springs Old Regular Baptist Church Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Nephews.
