REIFORD JUNIOR MATNEY, 55 years of age of the Garden Creek Section of Oakwood, VA, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Marie Lola Street Matney, Patterson, VA, and the late Ira Reiford Matney. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and retired Coal Truck Driver. He was a loving husband and father.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Alford Matney; 1-Brother: Jeffery Matney.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Lola Street Matney, Patterson, VA, 1-Daughter: Amanda Matney, Oakwood, VA, 1-Son: Jody Reiford Matney, Oakwood, VA, 2-Sisters: Patricia Gail (Jeff) Rose, Bristol, VA, Michelle Lynn (Keith) Robinson, Portsmouth, VA, 1-Brother: Randy (Pearl) Matney, Asheboro, NC

Funeral Services for REIFORD JUNIOR MATNEY will be conducted Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Troy Lester officiating with burial to follow in the Esau Rife Cemetery, Keen Mountain, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M.
