PRICY
LOUISA “LOU” DUTY STILTNER,
93 years of age, of the Poplar Creek section of Grundy, VA, went to be with
the Lord, Monday, August 20, 2012, at 4:30 A.M. at her home following an
extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late
Jonah Duty and Orpha Stiltner Duty. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan
County and had been a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church since May 17,
1964.
In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Stiltner
(1965); Step-Mother: Kelsey Childress Duty; 2-Sisters: Pearl Layne and
Virginia Duty; 7-Brothers: Harmon, Bunion, Ira, Ellis, Truman, Kenneth and
Keister Duty; 2-Sons-in-Law: Jimmie Dean Houck and Gary Carter.
She is survived by 159 heartbroken family members
including 8-Daughters: Ellen and husband Paul E. McClanahan, Poplar Creek,
Grundy, VA, Phyllis Houck, Poplar Creek, Grundy, VA, Judy and husband Sam
Ramirez, Tampa, FL, Orpha and husband Sheldon Woods, Prater, VA, Shirley
“Sally” and husband Wesley Ratliff, Little Prater, Grundy, VA, Della Carter,
Poplar Creek, Grundy, VA, Harriet and husband Clayton “Buck” Stevens, Dave’s
Branch, Grundy, VA, Patricia and husband Phillip Imel, Grundy, VA, 4-Sons:

Funeral Services for
PRICY LOUISA “LOU” DUTY STILTNER
will be conducted Friday, August 24, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral
Home Chapel with Elders James McClanahan and Jim Bob Blankenship, Jr.,
officiating and the reading of the obituary by Adam Stevens with burial to
follow in the Frank E. Stiltner Cemetery on Poplar Creek, Grundy, VA.
Friends may call
at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with a
song/memorial service at 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday evening with regular
services at 7:00 P.M.
Active
Pallbearers will be family members.
Honorary
Pallbearers will be Sons-in-Law, Daughters-in-Law, Grandchildren,
Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren.
