PHILLIP WILLIAM McCONVILLE, 33 years of age of Hampstead, NC formerly of Deskins and Slate Creek, VA died Thursday, November 1, 2012 after being struck by an automobile. Born in Grundy, VA, he was the son of Rammie and Jatana Cook Brown of Hampstead, NC . Phillip was a roofer, was very kind-hearted and never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, Phillip is survived by 1-Sisters: Tonya Deel, Prater, VA, 3-Brothers: Gregory Cook, Lebanon, VA, Kerry Brown, Hale Creek, VA, Westly Brown, Hampstead, NC

Funeral Services to celebrate the life of PHILLIP WILLIAM McCONVILLE will be conducted Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Chapel Church, Deskins, VA with Pastor Steve Dupree  officiating. Burial will follow in the Lester Family Cemetery, Deskins, VA.

Friends may call at the Union Chapel Church Monday evening after 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will Norman Hill, Shawn Shortridge, Wesley Brown, Josh Cook, Adam Cook, Matthew Cook, Michael Cook and Nathan Stiltner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Todd Perkins, Donnie Cook, Larry Cook, Gary Yates, Chad Hess, Keith Gray, Roger Russell, Ernie Delacey and Lindsay Morris.
