MILDRED E. COOK, 93 years of age of the Little Prater Section of Grundy, VA, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Mayfair House in Cedar Bluff, VA, following an extended illness. Born one of nine children in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Liburn and Rosa Belle Deel Cook. She was a lifelong resident of the Little Prater Section of Grundy, VA, and a member of the Little Prater Church of Christ for many years. She was an employee of Ben Franklin in Grundy for 21-years and the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3-Sisters: Lottie Cook Earls, Goldie Cook Vanover and Florence Cook Helton; 5-Brothers: Herbert Cook, Robert Cook, B.E. Cook, Dave Cook and Keith Cook; 1-Sister-in-Law: Clarice Cook

She is survived by 11-Nieces and 8-Nephews.

Funeral Services for MILDRED E. COOK will be conducted Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Little Prater Church of Christ with Evg. Jon Searle and Gerald Vanover officiating with burial to follow in Clinch Valley Cemetery, Richlands, VA.

Friends may call at the Little Prater Church of Christ Thursday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. with a Song Service at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Men of the Little Prater Church of Christ.
