LUTHER A. “LUKE” LESTER, JR., 46 years of age of the Slate Creek Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Buchanan General Hospital. Born in Grundy, VA, he was the son of Luther A. and Wanda Stapleton Lester, Grundy, VA. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and was a disabled Coal Miner. Luke loved to hunt and fish and work on cars.

Mr. Lester is survived by his wife, Marcella Ratliff Lester, Grundy, VA, His Parents: Luther A. and Wanda Stapleton Lester, Grundy, VA, 1-Daughter: Heather (husband Matthew) Osborne, Richlands, VA, 1-Grandson: Timothy Osborne, 1-Sister: Angela (husband William) Bowman, Kingsport, TN, 2-Brothers: John W. (wife Sherry) Lester, Hurley, VA, Andrew Lester, Deskins, VA

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews who loved him.

Funeral Services for LUTHER A. “LUKE” LESTER, JR. will be conducted Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Word Evangelistic Outreach Church with Rev. Darrell Davis officiating with burial to follow in the Lester Family Cemetery on State Line Ridge #1, near Paynesville, WV.

Friends may call at the Word Evangelistic Outreach Church Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with a song service Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. and regular services Friday evening at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
