LURA BELLE SNELL DEEL, 73 years of age of the Upper Mill Branch Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Floyd County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Marie Swafford Snell. She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ernest Deel; 1-Daughter: Ruthie Coleman; 2-Sons: Ernest James Deel and Bobby Coleman, Jr.; and 1-Brother: George Perry.

She is survived by 8-Daughters: Brenda Lee Blankenship and fiancé Larry Layne, Poplar Creek, VA, Shirley Deel and fiancé Nathan Tweed, Vansant, VA, Sandra and husband Joe Farmer, Grundy, VA, Rosetta Ratliff, Vansant, VA, Patricia Vandyke, Grundy, VA, Mildred and husband Bobby Keene, Turtle Town, TN, Lisa and husband Brian Hockman, Blairsville, GA, Felicia and husband Perry Coleman, Blue Ridge, GA, 2-Sons: Eddie and wife Gladys Snell, Grundy, VA, William Deel, Blairsville, GA, 4-Sisters: Linda Douglas, Vansant, VA, Mary and husband Dean Stiltner, Oakwood, VA, Aretta Thompson, Grundy, VA, Betty Rabon, South Carolina

Also, survived by 29-Grandchildren and many Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for LURA BELLE SNELL DEEL will be conducted Monday, November 26, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Lee Lester officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
