LINDA VANOVER LOONEY, 64 years of age of Conaway, VA, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Burlin and Kelsie Clevinger Vanover. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and loved to work outside. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and wonderful homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45-years, Clayton Looney, March 20, 2013; 1-Sister: Kathy Lester; and 1-Brother: Homer Vanover.

She is survived by 2-Daughters: Pam (Fiance Jim Kennedy) Looney, Conaway, VA, Michelle (Sidney) Smith, Big Rock, VA, 2-Sons: Clayton (Elaine) Looney, Jr., Grundy, VA, Jimmy (Angie) Looney, Conaway, VA, 1-Sister: Tracy Lynn Vanover, Maxie, VA, 5-Brothers: Eugene Vanover, Maxie, VA, Burton Vanover, Harman, VA, Grover Vanover, Prater, VA, Jessie Vanover, Pocahontas, VA, Gary Vanover, Vansant, VA

Also, survived by 9-Grandchildren: Justin Looney, Katlin Rife, Jamie Looney, Samantha Looney, Nathaniel Looney, Jade Smith, Jasmine Smith, Jessica Looney and Nikki Byrd.

Funeral Services for LINDA VANOVER LOONEY will be conducted Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Conn, Rev. James Swiney and Rev. Junior Deel officiating with entombment to follow in Mountain Rest Mausoleum at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Ricky Looney, James Looney, Steve Griffey, Chris Allen, Tim Ramey and Bobby Byers.
