 JOHNNY
ELLIS STILTNER,
56 years of age of the Poplar Creek Section of Grundy, VA, passed away
Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at his home following an extended illness. Born in
Buchanan County, he was the son of Opal Kennedy Stiltner, Nickelsville, VA,
and the late Phillip Stiltner. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County
and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Johnny served in the United States
Army. He was a loving father and grandfather and was a disabled Coal Miner.
He is survived by
his mother, Opal Kennedy Stiltner, Nickelsville, VA, 2-Daughters: Shenna
(Jeremy) Hess, Manassas, VA, Brandy (Patrick) Decker, Wapakoneta, OH,
3-Sisters: Paula Helton, Nickelsville, VA, Debra (Robert) Devires,
Nickelsville, VA, Robin Mullins, Castlewood, VA, 3-Brothers: Mitchell
(Kella) Stiltner, Nickelsville, VA, Mark (Becky) Stiltner, Richlands, VA,
Robert (Tina) Stiltner, Statesville, NC
Also, survived by
4-Grandchildren: Savannah Hess, Emma Hess, Kara Groves and Rhyse Groves.
Funeral Services for
JOHNNY ELLIS STILTNER will be
conducted Friday, May 17, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bethlehem Old Regular
Baptist Church #1 with Elder James R. Blankenship officiating with burial to
follow in the Stiltner Cemetery on Poplar Creek, Grundy, VA.
Friends may call
at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M with services
at 7:00 P.M. with Revs. Eugene Whited and Ronnie Sliger officiating.
Mr. Stiltner will
be taken to the Bethlehem Old Regular Baptist Church #1, Friday, May 17,
2013 at 12:00 Noon to await the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M.
Active
Pallbearers will be Matthew Mullins, Travis Stiltner, Phillip Dwayne
Stiltner, Austin Stiltner, Jeremy Hess and Patrick Decker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mitchell Stiltner,
Mark Stiltner, Robert Stiltner and Derek Stiltner.
