JESSIE ATHEN STILTNER, 78 years of age of Johnson City, TN, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville, NC, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Polly Hackney Stiltner. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and was a member of the Cherokee Church of Christ and former member of the Grundy Church of Christ. Mr. Stiltner served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a former Owner/Operator of Stiltner’s Welding.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1-Son: Jessie A. Stiltner, Jr. and 1-Sister: Louise St. Clair.

 

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Barton Stiltner, Johnson City, TN, 2-Daughters: Lesa Baker, Johnson City, TN, Ruth Ann Johnson, Johnson City, TN, 1-Son: Tim and wife Geneva Stiltner, Oakwood, VA, 3-Sisters: Elizabeth and husband Thomas Stump, Lynn Camp, VA, Mavis and husband Ralph Robinson, Lynn Camp, VA, Virginia and husband Grady Looney, Lynn Camp, VA, 3-Brothers: Paul Stiltner, Lynn Camp, VA, J.C. and wife Mildred Stiltner, Lynn Camp, VA, Thomas and wife Pat Stiltner, Lynn Camp, VA

 

Also, survived by 4-Grandchildren and 2-Great-Grandchildren.

 

Funeral Services for JESSIE ATHEN STILTNER will be conducted Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Dennis Wimmer officiating with entombment to follow in Mountain Rest Mausoleum, Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

 

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday Morning from 10:00-11:00 A.M.
