JERRY RODNEY HAGY, 66 years of age of Davenport, VA, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his home following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Elmer and Ruby Clevinger Hagy. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a retired coal miner, welder & mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Bernice Vandyke and 1-Brother: Roger Allen Hagy.

He is survived by his wife of 35-years, Evette Elswick Hagy, Davenport, VA, 1-Daughter: Rebecca Lyn Hagy (Fiancé Barry Belcher), Davenport, VA, 1-Son: Troy Michael Hagy, Davenport, VA, 1-Sister: Betty Hagy, Sevierville, TN, 3-Brothers: Denver (Wanda) Hagy, Deskins, VA, Ernest (Kathy) Hagy, Hurley, VA, David (Lisa) Hagy, Vansant, VA, 1-Granddaughter: Angel Austin, Tennessee, 1-Grandson: Dylan Michael Hagy, Davenport, VA

Funeral Services for JERRY RODNEY HAGY will be conducted Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: Jerry Wright, Roger Coleman and Toy Looney officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Hagy Cemetery on Devil’s Branch, Deskins, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with funeral services at 7:00 P.M.
