HELEN KATHERN HURLEY, 76 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late William and Lena Davis Stacy. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ford Hurley, April 22, 1993; Granddaughter: Paula Hurley; 2-Sisters and 3-Brothers.

She is survived by 4-Daughters: Lena (husband Gary) Jackson, Hurley, VA, Kathy Jackson, Hurley, VA, Jennifer (husband Herbert) May, Hurley, VA, Mary (husband John) Dancy, Ruffin, NC, 5-Sons: Jerry (wife Robin) Hurley, Kingsport, TN, Jackie Hurley, Hurley, VA, Henry Ford Hurley Jr., Hurley, VA, Clinton (wife Sonya) Hurley, Hurley, VA, Edwin (wife Terri) Hurley, Hurley, VA, 5-Sisters: Carmie Cowell, Mt. Vernon, OH, Nell Davis, Hurley, VA, Grace Colgan, Mt. Vernon, OH, Betty Wojeet, Mt. Vernon, OH, Sherry Myers, Mt. Gilead, OH, 2-Brothers: Fred Stacy, Big Rock, VA, Earl Kid, Wolford, VA

Also, survived by 25-Grandchildren and 29-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for HELEN KATHERN HURLEY will be conducted Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Cecil Hurley singing with burial to follow in the Dotson Cemetery on Abner Fork, Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with a song service at 7:00 P.M.
