HAROLD GLEN BEVINS, 67 years of age of the Upper Elk Creek Section of Hurley, VA, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his home following an extended illness. Born in Isaban, WV, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Gertrude Varney Bevins. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and was a member of Stopover Freewill Baptist Church.  He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, step-grandfather, great-grandfather, step-great-grandfather, step-great-great-grandfather and was a Tipple Loadout Worker for Virginia Energy.

Mr. Bevins is survived by his wife of 51-Years, Dora Rife Bevins, Hurley, VA, 1-Daughter: Crystal Joann and husband D.J. Cline, Hurley, VA, 4-Sons: Randall Glen and wife Glenda Bevins, Draffin, KY, Ricky Lee and wife Veronica Bevins, Hurley, VA, Harold Jr. and wife Dana Bevins, Hurley, VA, Scotty Ray Bevins and Tonya Stacy, Hurley, VA, 3-Sisters: Merle Daugherty, Ohio, Evelyn Cline, Princeton, WV, Mary Kirk, Ohio, 1-Brother: Leroy Bevins, North Carolina

Also, survived by 7-Grandchildren: Alisha and husband Dwayne Wolford, Darren and wife Jessica Bevins, Cody Bevins, Autumn Bevins, Hunter Bevins, Ryder Bevins and Colton Cline; 7-Great-Grandchildren; 4-Step-Grandchildren; 10-Great-Step-Grandchildren; and 1-Great-Great-Step-Grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his Stepmother, Maude Bevins;1-Sister: Alline Lockhart; and Teddy Bevins and Woodrow Bevins, Jr.

Funeral Services for HAROLD GLEN BEVINS will be conducted Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stopover Freewill Baptist Church with Pastors: Larry Rife, Odis Blankenship and Harold Layne officiating with burial to follow in the Rife Cemetery on Upper Elk Creek, near Hurley, VA.

Friends may call at the Stopover Freewill Baptist Church Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Special Nephew: Josh Rife; Cody Bevins, Kyle Hardin, Darren Bevins, D.J. Cline, Joey Charles, Tyler Dotson, Finney Hensley and Dwayne Wolford.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Granddaughter, Great-Granddaughters, Great-Grandsons, Dr. Vickie Morgan and the Employees of Special Care Hospice.
