GLORIANNA LEE LANDRETH FLETCHER, of Maxie, VA, went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Frank McNutt and Virginia Lee Morefield Landreth. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Harman Memorial Baptist Church where she served on the Women’s Missionary Society and taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Fletcher received her Bachelor’s Degree from Pikeville College and her Master’s Degree from UVA. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful instant Nana. She was a Buchanan County School Teacher for over 30-years serving as special education teacher and was a lifetime member of the VEA and the NEA.

 

Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her husband, George Fletcher, Maxie, VA, 2-Daughters: Dianna and husband McDonald Hagy, Vansant, VA, Donna and husband David Looney, Breaks, VA, 1-Son: Michael and wife Tammy Fletcher, Harman, VA, 1-Brother: Frankie and wife Gaye Landreth, Harman, VA

 

Also, survived by 10-Grandchildren and 1-Great-Grandchild.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death by 1- Son, George Steven Fletcher, January 3, 2000.

 

Funeral Services for GLORIANNA LEE LANDRETH FLETCHER will be conducted Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Harman Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Shea Shrader officiating with entombment to follow in Mountain Rest Mausoleum at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

 

Friends may call at the Harman Memorial Baptist Church Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

 

Active Pallbearers will be Anthony Scott, Derek Fletcher, Marc Hagy, Davey Looney, Chase Looney, Brock Maust, Mike Price and Paul Moody.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Harman Memorial Baptist Church and the Treasured Church Family.

 

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Harman Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 320, Maxie, VA  24628.
