ELMER OSBORNE, 66 years of age of the Deskins Section of Vansant, VA, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at his home following a brief illness. Born in Iaeger, WV, he was the son of the late John Larkin and Cansada Duty Osborne. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and played bluegrass music for several years. He was a loving father and grandfather and was a disabled Coal Truck Driver. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 8-Sisters.

He is survived by his former wife, Kathy Osborne, Vansant, VA, 1-Daughter: Tina Stanley and fiancé Billy Thacker, Vansant, VA, 1-Son: Jamie Osborne and fiancée Melissa Woods, Vansant, VA, 4-Grandchildren: Matthew Hurd, Lebanon, VA, Kassidy Osborne, Vansant, VA, Jamie Osborne, Vansant, VA, James Osborne, Vansant, VA

Funeral Services for ELMER OSBORNE will be conducted Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Danny Hess officiating with burial to follow in the Lester Cemetery, Deskins, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Matthew Hurd, Billy Thacker, Chris Parson, Steven Church, Lloyd Woods, Floyd Yates, Joe Mullins, Joey Yates and Lloyd Yates.
