EDNA TESTER,
76 years of age of the Home Creek Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Monday,
October 1, 2012 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY, following an
extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late
Floyd and Lassie Estep. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and
was a member of Jesus Tabernacle, Feds Creek, KY. She was a loving mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother and was a retired Assembly Line Worker of
F.M.C. and ran Edna’s Kitchen at Paw Paw for several years.
She is survived by 2-Sons: Richard Duty, Hurley, VA,
Randall Duty, Home Creek, Grundy, VA, 1-Grandson: Craig Duty, Cleveland, OH,
2-Great-Grandsons: Randall Craig Duty, Cleveland, OH, Shea Duty, Cleveland,
OH, 6-Sisters: Artha Otto, North Carolina, Jossie Slone, Cleveland, OH, Lily
Cantrell, Hurley, VA, Faye and husband Travis Turner, Bristol, VA, Jean
Estep, Hurley, VA, Geraldine Allen, Hurley, VA, 3-Brothers: Joseph Estep,
Home Creek, Grundy, VA, Tommy and wife Marie Estep, Wolford, VA, Paul Estep,
Hurley, VA
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by 2-Brothers, Taylor Allen and Jimmy Estep.
Funeral Services for
EDNA TESTER will be conducted
Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with
Revs. Hobert McCoy and Danny Hess officiating with burial to follow in
Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel
Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Wednesday and Thursday evenings
at 7:00 P.M.
Active Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
