EARL LOONEY, 62 years of age of Bastian, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at the VA Medical Center, Salem, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Florence American Hackney Looney, Bastian, VA, and the late Curtis Looney, October 10, 2012. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and served in the United States Marines. He was a loving father and son and was a Disabled Automobile Mechanic.

Mr. Looney is survived by his mother, Florence America Hackney Looney, Bastian, VA, 1-Son: Eric Wayne Looney, Bastian, VA, 3-Sisters: Hazel Byers, Conaway, VA, Virginia and husband Gary Fields, Conaway, VA, Judy Hackney, Kingsport, TN, 3-Brothers: Curtis and wife Sherry Looney Jr., Poplar Creek, VA, Roger Lee and wife Dreama Looney, Rural Retreat, VA, Clayton and wife Linda Looney, Conaway, VA

Funeral Services for EARL LOONEY will be conducted Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Earl Dean Yates officiating with burial to follow in Epling Cemetery, Conaway, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Bradley Looney, John Kennedy, Jim Kennedy, Steven Griffey, Brett Ramey, Jimmy Looney, Ray Looney and Bill Tweedy.

Full Military Rites will be conducted at the cemetery by Members of Childs Gentry Post No. 7360 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
