DOUGLAS SCARBERRY, 66 years of age of Paw Paw, KY, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Williamson ARH Hospital, South Williamson, KY, following an extended illness. Born in Pike County, KY, he was the son of the late Hollie and Grace Pruett Scarberry. He was a member of the Kelsa Church of Christ. Douglas worked as a Retired Rock Truck Driver for Apex Energy and was a High Wall Driller on a surface coal mine.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Elizabeth Scarberry; 3-Brothers: Herbert Scarberry, Eugene Scarberry and Hufford Scarberry and 1-Granddaughter: Alexis Danielle Scarberry.

 

He is survived by 6-Children: Melissa Scarberry, Hurley, VA, Rose (Michael) Dotson, Paw Paw, KY, Christopher Douglas Scarberry, Hurley, VA, Eugene Douglas Scarberry, Paw Paw, KY, Ira Paul Scarberry, Hurley, VA, Marcus Lee Scarberry, Hurley, VA, 2-Sisters: Sarah Dotson, Hurley, VA, Joan (Tom) Adkins, Bluefield, VA, 2-Brothers: Clifford (Helen) Scarberry, Fenton, MI, Lige (Linda) Scarberry, Hurley, VA

 

Also, survived by 3-Grandchildren: Abigail Grace Scarberry, Dylan Scarberry and Michael Douglas Dotson.

 

Funeral Services for DOUGLAS SCARBERRY will be conducted Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kelsa Church of Christ with Rev. Otis Blankenship, Evg. Vernar Blankenship and Rev. Ervin Hurley officiating with burial to follow in the Scarberry Cemetery at Paw Paw, near Hurley, VA.

 

Friends may call at the Kelsa Church of Christ Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

 

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
