DOUGLAS RAY OSBORNE, 44 years of age of Sevierville, TN formerly of Grundy, VA, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 at Leconte Medical Center, Sevierville, TN after an apparent heart attack. Born in Buchanan County, VA,  he was the son of Ray and Sharon Baldwin Osborne of  Grundy, VA. He was a resident of Buchanan County most of his life and was a former member of the Grundy Church of God and was of the Pentecostal faith. Douglas was a 1986 graduate of Grundy Senior High School and a 1988 graduate of Virginia Highlands Community College where he became a master in HVAC, electricity and plumbing. He was a former employee of Ray’s Refrigeration in Grundy. Douglas was a gifted singer and musician and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Douglas was preceded in death by his son: Sean Douglas Ray Osborne on July 17, 2012; Maternal Grandparents: Harold and Bertie Baldwin; and Paternal Grandparents Vadia and Nancy Osborne.

In addition to his parents he is survived by His  Brother: Timothy (and his special friend Amannda Horton) Osborne                  Bluefield, VA, His fiancée: Tina Clayton  and her children, Jeanna King and Corey Hindman, Sevierville, TN, His niece: Kaylee Osborne.

Also, survived by several uncles, aunts, and many friends.

Funeral Services to celebrate the life DOUGLAS RAY OSBORNE will be conducted Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jeffrey Mullins,  Matthew Daniels and Wade McGeorge officiating. Burial will follow in Osborne Cemetery on Osborne Mountain near  Grundy, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Sunday evening after 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Jeffery Mullins, Paul Kennedy, Paul Mullins, David Belcher, Brandon Dotson, Ricky Osborne, Brian Osborne, Keith Stiltner, Steve Osborne, and Jimmy Kennedy.
