DAVID ROY WOLFORD, 62 years of age of the Homecreek Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Wellmont-Bristol Hospice after a short illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of Delma Whited Wolford Coleman of Grundy, VA, and the late Elga Wolford. David was a disabled coal miner and a US Army veteran. He was a wonderful son, father  and grandfather, loved his cars and racing, especially Dale Earnhardt.

 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his Wife: Shirley Dotson Wolford, Homecreek, 7-Children: Tony (Cassie) Lucado, Vinton, VA, Shane Bradley (Bridget) Wolford, Asheboro, NC, Gary (Cammie) Tolbert, Las Vegas, Nevada, David Lee Tolbert, Asheboro, NC, Robert Tolbert, Sidney, Ohio, Jeffery Stiltner, Asheboro, NC, Linda (Curt) Barrett, Asheboro, NC, His step-father: Gerald Coleman, Grundy, VA, 3-Sisters: Barbara (Marty) Farmer, Bristol, VA, Deborah (Jerry) Lester, Hurley, VA, Rhonda (Kiser) Endicott, Asheboro, NC, 3-Brothers: Jerry (Companion – Diane Moore) Wolford, Big Rock, VA, Danny (Sharon) Wolford, Homecreek, Johnny (Abbie) Coleman, Rosedale, VA

 

Also, survived by18-Grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Services for DAVID ROY WOLFORD will be conducted Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating with cremation to follow.
