CORA
DOTSON CANTRELL,
79 years of age of the Hunt’s Fork Section of Hurley, VA, passed away
Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Phelps, KY,
following an extended illness. Born in Paw Paw, KY, she was the daughter of
the late Willie and Rosa Dotson. She was a resident of Buchanan County most
of her life and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. She was a wonderful wife,
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.
In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by 1-Son: Michael Cantrell; 1-Sister:
Opal Allison; and Brothers: Earl, Ernie, Flenn, Everett, Arthur, Clell and
2-Infant Brothers.
She is survived
by her husband, Danny Cantrell, Hurley, VA, 4-Daughters: Pearl Cantrell and
companion Eddie Elswick, Vansant, VA, Opal (Gary) Neal, Front Royal, VA,
Rosie (Greg) Tate, Haysi, VA, Karen Stiltner, Hurley, VA, 1-Son: Ronnie
(Cheryl) Cantrell, Conaway, VA, 1-Sister: Ermel (James Claude) Estep,
Hurley, VA, 1-Brother: Bill (Shirley) Dotson, Paw Paw, KY
Also, survived
by 12-Grandchildren and 20-Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral Services for
CORA DOTSON CANTRELL will be
conducted Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Hubert Bishop and Rev. Tommy Conn officiating with burial
to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Friends may call
at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Sunday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services
Sunday and Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M.
Active
Pallbearers will be Brian Hardin, Ronnie Cantrell, Jr., John New, Gary Neal,
Mark Cline and Eddie Elswick.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Good
Shepherd Nursing Home, Phelps, KY.
