BRIAN FRANKLIN BELCHER, 52 years of age of the Lover’s Gap Section of Vansant, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Born in Grundy, VA, he was the son of the late Franklin R. and Ona Slone Belcher. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Vansant Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father and was a Sergeant at the Southwest Regional Jail where he had been employed since 2006. He was a 1978 Graduate of Grundy Senior High School.

He is survived by his wife of 32-years, Gail Phipps Belcher, Vansant, VA, 2-Sons: Matthew Brian (Shellie) Belcher, Cedar Bluff, VA, Michael Andrew Belcher, Vansant, VA, 2-Sisters: Karen (Bill) Cecil, Madison Heights, VA, Cheryl Wright, Roanoke, VA

Funeral Services for BRIAN FRANKLIN BELCHER will be conducted Friday, July 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Casey Stark and Pastor Wesley Smith officiating with entombment to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Claypool Hill, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
