ADALENE MARIE JOHNSON, 63 years of age of Abingdon, VA, formerly of Big Rock, VA, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA, following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Harve and Stella Skeens Stacy. She was a resident of Buchanan County many years prior to moving to Abingdon and attended the Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1-Sister: Gail May and 1-Brother: Bill Joe Elswick.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Harold Danny Johnson, Abingdon, VA, 3-Sons: Danny (Priscilla) Johnson, Big Rock, VA, Bobby (Hilary) Johnson, Richmond, VA, Brian (Tammy) Johnson, Breaks, VA, Her very special Niece: Sherry Johnson Matney, Big Rock, VA, 4-Sisters: Nancy (Roy) Sims, Chattanooga, TN, Lorraine Coleman, Vansant, VA, Wanda Casey, Myrtle Beach, SC, Joyce (Donnie) Bass, Carrabelle, FL

Also, survived by 10-Grandchildren: Kayla Jonson, Ian Johnson, Brandy (Cory) Swiney, T.J. (Ashley) Lane, Jennifer (Shannon) Rice, Kendall Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Tori Johnson, Brianna Johnson and Jarrod Johnson; and 6-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for ADALENE MARIE JOHNSON will be conducted Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. William L. Neeley officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. with Danny Fraley Jr. officiating.
