CLAUDE HOWARD FRALEY, 88 years of age of Big Rock, VA, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Buchanan General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Justell, KY, he was the son of the late Ham and Jencie Moles Fraley. He was a resident of Buchanan County many years and attended the Big Rock Church of Christ. He was a loving husband and father and was a Mechanic and Welder in the Mining Industry. Claude was a member of the UMWA and was a former member of Sandy Valley Lodge #17 AF&AM.

Mr. Fraley was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Smith Fraley, December 26, 1995.

He is survived by 1-Daughter: Sharon and husband Denver Lester, Big Rock, VA, 1-Son:             Gary and wife Lisa Fraley, Big Rock, VA, 1-Sister: Pearl and husband Ray Stump, Winnabow, NC

Also, survived by 2-Granddaughters: Kimetha Boyd and Tara Pugh; 1-Grandson: Shannon Lester; 5-Great-Grandchildren: Kayla McClanahan, Lindsay Boyd, Sidney Boyd, Olivia Pugh and Dalton Lester, Special Friends and Caregivers: Janice Edwards, Tammy Thacker and Debbie Boyd. .

He was preceded in death by 1-Daughter: Saundra Fraley and 1-Sister Opal Duty.

Funeral Services for CLAUDE HOWARD FRALEY will be conducted Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Terry Cantrell and Evg. Sam Casebolt officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Active Pallbearers will be Shannon Lester, Bryan Boyd, Jon Prater, Tommy Riddle, Mike Pugh and Cody Dales.
